Celebration Challenge SCIC35 Occasions Mini Catalog

Okay, I might have gone a liiiiitttllle overboard with the birthday wishes on this one, but it really was fun to make. In order to push myself creatively I have joined a few challenge blogs hosted primarily by Stampin' Up! demonstrators. Stampin Up's product is far superior, imho, to most of what is available out there. I have invested in quality materials and need a nudge out of my creative cubbyhole every now and then. These challenges get me thinking in a different direction, either by sketch, design, theme, or color. This particular submission is for "Stampin Celebration". The goals for this week challenge were this: You could choose to go with either the birthday theme or color scheme. I chose both, but tweaked the colors to fit what I had on hand :) Here is the inspiration pic from Stampin Celebration :

Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White and a little Pumpkin Pie

This Take a Spin set is just too stinking cute. Admittly though, this is the first time I inked up this particular set. Available for a nominal separate purchase are a set of the spinner hands with brads. Intstead of marker coloring each piece of the board, (which, um, could work, in my head, just couldn't get it to translate out onto the paper) I stamped several images in the colors  I wanted to use, then punched out the important bits and popped those up on dimensionals.  PS, The happy birthday sentiment only looks like it was stamped on Very Vanilla. Mental note, get better lighting for these shots.

This shows a little of the dimension on the card.

As always, I treasure each comment and look forward to hearing from you.
